When Yahoo updated the original mail page---they changed that action.
Clicking the spam tab,(on inbox messages) no longer deletes that mail, NOR does it block the sender.
It just sends it to the spam folder and future mails from that address also goes to spam folder----which Yahoo deletes at preset times.
You still have the ability to open emails,in the spam folder, and click the "not spam" tab.
I think they made this change cause sending "spam" addresses to the blocked list was never very effective anyway---since spammers change their address with each mailing, and slip past the blocking.
OF course. you can still manually block addresses.
(mail page--options--block addresses)
If you wanted---you could change the spam setting to delete immediately, anything arriving in the spam folder (so you'll never see any of them).
Mail page%26gt;%26gt;options%26gt;%26gt;mail options%26gt;%26gt;Spam Protection. Make the adjustment as you like, and then click "save changes".
If I mark an email as Spam will it be sent to the blocked senders list automatically?
If you are asking will the person who sent you the spam get notified - the answer is no. In most cases you don't want them to be as spammers use the fact that there is a live person there to send more email to.
Ideally they would get a bounce, this is the only thing that MIGHT effect their list.
Reply:It should yes.
